Clermont is a small city in Florida, west of Orlando. Clermont, which is known as the “gem of the hills,” is surrounded by gently sloping hills in an otherwise flat state. The historic downtown has not changes much in 50 years. Clermont is also home to one of the first constructed landmarks in Florida: the Citrus Tower.
With its towering Gothic cathedral and the Monts Dômes volcanoes looming on its horizon, Clermont-Ferrand paints a striking picture. The Auvergne capital is more than just a pretty place though—it’s also a cultural hub, full of cafe-lined plazas, gourmet restaurants, and live music venues.
The annual Clermont Days Festival, held in September, is a great place to celebrate Clermont's past and present as townspeople and visitors gather to meet new friends and renew old acquaintances.
